My Sweet Babboo


Eric Edward Harmon passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the age of 48 after a short yet courageous fight with cancer. Eric was born April 15, 1969 in Norman, Oklahoma to Jerry and Marilyn Harmon. Eric attended Norman Public Schools, beginning at Cleveland Elementary, advancing to West Mid-High, and graduating from Norman High School. He attended Rose State College, where he was on the Deans Honor Roll.


Eric had a love for music, which inspired him to learn to play the drums, guitar, and bass guitar. He played in several bands, including Moore-Peace-Harmony, Cousins, The Cant, Cinderbiscuits, Chainsaw Kittens, The Toothman, American Boyfriends, Conflation Congregation, Dogpatch, 40 Minutes of Hell, and Locust Avenue. He also sat-in with many bands.

Eric was preceded in death by: grandparents Merrill Roberson, Hattie Roberson, and Willie Mae Harmon; aunt, Melva Gardner; and cousin, Shari Roberson Todd.

Eric is survived by: parents, Jerry and Marilyn Harmon of Norman; daughter, Emma Flannery Harmon of Norman; sister, Christina Harmon Marshall and brother-in-law, Cameron Marshall of Norman; niece, Ashley Thresher and husband T.J., great-nephews, Brayden Thresher and Noah Heidel, and great-niece, Kynzi Thresher, all of Moore; nephew, Brenden Marshall, niece, Lauren Marshall, and great-niece, Lyla Marshall, all of Michigan; grandfather, Lester Harmon of Norman; special friend, Tona Harder of Del City; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
